FAQ

  • Why did the race switch to a two day event?

We’ve seen exponential growth within the Muskoka Marathon participants over the last few years. In order to maintain a comfortable course with runner numbers, and a comfortable start/finish line, we’ve decided to make the Muskoka Marathon a full weekend event!

    10K & 5K - Saturday October 3rd

    Half & Full - Sunday October 4th

  • Marathon shuttle

All full marathoners on Sunday will receive complimentary shuttle service to and from Santa’s Village. There will be no on-site parking for marathon participants. In 2026, our Marathon registration cap is 150 marathoners.

  • What's the transfer policy?

You may transfer your registration to another person for a $9.99 fee.

You may transfer to a different race distance by paying the fee difference and the $1.95 race roster fee.

There are no transfers after September 13, 2026 for any reason.

  • What's the deferral policy?

We offer a one-time partial deferral for 2025 registrations. If you defer, you’ll receive a 50% discount on your 2026 registration, with the remaining balance due at checkout.

A 2025 deferral must be used in 2026 and cannot be carried forward.

Deferrals are one-time only and cannot be deferred again.

No deferrals after September 15, 2025, for any reason.
